First wood wand made on a metal lathe
Made my Daughter a wand on our wood lathe. Painted it black and sanded it back down to make it look old. used the polisher on the main part. Ive been watching iamnecraweyengehl videos and the dremmel is harder than it looks so I had to stick with the lathe and sand paper, I’ll practice a bit and see if I can get the hang of it. So thanks iamnecraweyengehl and omgitsBenjamin for some great videos of super tight wands they made.

I suppose they could, the only problem I find it getting the right wood is a bit of a pain
you could even get ppl to send you a custom design
you have real tallent and could sell your items . you could make some good money and i would definitely buy from you
Thanks for the comment, I was lucky that part turned out OK since I had a change of heart when I painted it black then preferred the wood look and what came in between I liked even more so it was purely and accident (haha)
Not sure, it was a mop in my shop that was old and I was gonna throw it out but then I said to myself… Hey this would be a good start to a wand (haha) its a soft wood but hasnt shown any wear with my kids playing with it, it still looks like the day I finished it.
I do want to get nice wood to make one out of but broom handles and mop handles work nice too.
What wood did you use?

The colour of the wand is really gorgeous. Really look exactly like noble’s one. haha

Yeah the lathe makes quick work of certain things but cant do allot of the stuff that makes it unique.
You have to see it in HD to get a good look at the finish when its finished processing the camera didnt do it justice, in person I couldnt have asked for a sweeter finish. I didnt like the black and while removing the black it started to look so nice I did the whole wand like it and the polisher made it smooth as glass but still a nice dull finish. I’ll be looking for your video, Thanks again
oh man…! I wish I could work with a lathe for 10 minutes. Great wands man. It does take alot longer with a dremel. But I have devised a simple way to hold the wood with both hands. I will show it in my next video.
