great video why don’t you teach that Canadian dude who’s on here how to do proper machine work this guy represents some college or university in British Columbia and teach him how to use a center drill this instructor is showing himself drilling directly through a piece of stock with a quarter inch drill bit and he is not using a center drill I was taught that this would cause the drill to brake thank you once again nice video Jeff

I would be sacked from my work for puting my fingers in to grab the crap lol

coolant isn’t nescesary ..
only if you are turning hard metal like inox or hard steel..

I was curious to see how you made the outside chamfer as I haven’t seen much reference on that.

ahahah everyone says “don’t stick your fingers” but everyone does it.

I don’t think u know what ur talking about. What shit? lol

The camcorder was positioned at a high angle and the video was taken on a close up position that’s why things seems to be to close. That’s probably made you conclude that it was done in an unsafe way but its not. It was done in a safe way. Also the chips that i took out was already separated from the cutting tool you did not see that because the tool post behind it. Just to let you know i was wearing safety glasses( you can’t see that on the video)

This guy needs to brush up on his health and safety, its a wonder he has still got his sight or eyes.
Not good at all, to be honest total CRAP !!

COUNTERSINK THAT SHIT

where is your guard glasses and coolant : o

wow i’d love one of these, making pistons must be a piece of cake

Dude, you really need to be safer with your fingers and hands. Keep them away from the lather when it’s turning. And never use your fingers to remove chips while its turning. You will eventually end up missing some fingers. No joke, be safe man.

Thanks.. :)

560 rpm

Um…maybe I wasn’t paying attention. Would you mind repeating what RPM ‘the same’ was?

Thanks.

Q:)

I used the same RPM . I’m supposed to use lower speed but i decided to just control the cut as it goes while parting.

Out of interest, what sort of revs are you pulling while parting?

Q:)

Well done. It would be better, though, if the camera had been placed in such a way that the cutting edge was clearly visible throughout. As it is, much of the action is hidden behind the toolpost.
