The machinist grinds the point of the tool depending on the type of metal he is cutting and the type of turning operation he intends to do. A good machinist’s handbook will give you the standard guidelines for grinding high-speed steel tools. The cutting edge of a carbide-tipped tool is brazed to the end of a steel shank. Chuck at our cnc machine is use to hold the product and turn for cutting. Thus, there is nothing in chuck when machine is stop. Can any one tell me that the accuracy of machine can be effect or not when the spindle is turning without chucking. Is it need to insert any dummy work piece into the chuck when spindle is turning?
